US jazz bassist Derrick Hodge. Originally from Philadelphia, Hodge is a singer/songwriter/producer who has worked with hip hop royalty, including luminaries such as Common, Q Tip, Kanye West and Timbaland to name a few, but he first rose to fame as a performer in his own right, playing alongside Robert Glasper in The Experiment, fusing jazz with hip hop, to great critical acclaim.
